FUTURE FORWARD

Our Future Forward program is a comprehensive support program designed to assist youth transitioning from foster care to independent living, or homelessness to sheltered housing. The program is tailored to meet the unique needs of young adults aged 16 to 24 who need tools, resources, and guidance to navigate the challenges of independent living successfully.

Future Forward participants will be assigned a Case Manager to achieve:

1. Empowerment and Self-Sufficiency: Equip youth with the skills and knowledge necessary to live independently, make informed decisions, and achieve self-sufficiency.
2. Education and Employment:     Support participants in completing their education, pursuing higher education or vocational training, and securing stable employment.
3. Housing Stability:     Assist youth in finding and maintaining safe, affordable housing while teaching essential household management skills.
4. Financial Literacy:     Provide training in budgeting, financial planning, and managing expenses to foster financial independence.
5. Health and Well-being:     Ensure access to healthcare services, mental health support, and wellness programs to promote physical and emotional well-being.
6. Life Skills Development:     Offer practical life skills training, including cooking, cleaning, time  management, and navigating social services.
7. Community Integration:     Foster connections with community resources, mentorship programs, and peer support networks to build a sense of belonging and support.

The Future Forward program is designed to provide support for up to 24 months, with the possibility of extension based on individual needs and progress. The program offers ongoing follow-up services for an additional year to ensure continued stability and success.
